The intent of this page is to introduce you to St. Thomas Aquinas with respect to the programs in the Special Needs and Exceptionalities Department.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board prides itself on creating inclusive school communities and we at St. Thomas Aquinas are leading the way in this endeavor. All students are given the opportunity to get involved in the school community, as well as in the classroom. in a variety of ways.
Ontario is taking steps to support children and youth with special needs to get the timely and effective services they need at home, at school, in the community and as they transition to adulthood. St. Thomas works in collaboration with community service providers, classroom teachers and the best staff of Educational Assistants ever assembled to make the educational experience at St. Thomas Aquinas the best it possibly can be.
