***Note ANOTHER Reschedule: Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test Day 2013
The EQAO has been RE-RE-scheduled to Tuesday, May 14. (It had been originally re-scheduled for the following day.)

Students who were not able to participate in the April 11 administration of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), whether absent due to inclement weather or for any other reason, will have the opportunity to write a new version of the test on May 14.

EQAO will ensure that the results for graduating students who participate in the rescheduled administration are provided as quickly as possible this school year. Results for all other students who participate in the rescheduled administration will be provided in September.

Accessibility Survey 2013

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will provide an environment in all of its facilities that builds independence, dignity and respect for our students, parents/guardians, the public and our staff which includes facilitating the use of assistive devices. It covers one of five standards to be adopted under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005. Furthermore, we are committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity of access to our services in the same location and in a similar way as these services are available with accommodations to all we serve.

We have created this survey to gather information to guide the Board's Accessibility Planning Committee in the creation of a five year accessibility plan.

SMDHU Immunization Information
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is required by law, the Immunization of School Pupils Act, to keep an up-to-date immunization record for every student who attends elementary or secondary school in Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka through information shared by the parent/guardian. To assist parent’s in understanding their responsibility for keeping their child’s record up-to-date at the health unit, we have developed a parent Fact Sheet (see attached) to inform all parents and students enrolled in Simcoe Muskoka schools about the collection and assessment of students’ immunization records. Click Here for the Fact Sheet.
